Our story so far…
The Beginning
Early in 2008, a small group in their 20s and 30s, tired of seeing their peers lose their passion for Jesus Christ, met in a lounge room and dreamt big about renewal in and for their generation.
The Vision
In June that year, 60 Christians from over 30 churches came together in another lounge room and shared in this vision of renewal.
The Launch!
On August 23, Regenerate officially launches at the Sydney Entertainment Centre as over 400 gather to hear Pastor Mark Driscoll speak about ’10 Things I Wish I Knew About Ministry When I Was 25.’
1st Gathering
On October 18, the first Regenerate event at Sydney University gathered over 500 to ‘Taste and See’ afresh the goodness and glory of our God.
In 2009…
Regenerate continues to transform the way that a generation worships, hears and responds to God’s Word as Regenerate Praise and Regenerate Marriage are launched.
Vision
Through God’s blessing, the youth evangelistic arm of RICE has seen hundreds of young lives changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. These youth, many of whom are the next generation of church leaders, have now entered into the most challenging stages of their lives: work, marriage and families.
RICE Regenerate is the next arm of the RICE Movement and its aim is to renew and fuel the current generation of tertiary students and young adults to serve in their churches, in their families and in their workplaces with an infectious passion and zeal for the Lord.
RICE Regenerate seeks to advance the momentum of the gospel beyond youth ministry and see a whole generation to rise up and keep serving Jesus that will make a lasting impact into our churches, our families and our city.
More About Us
Rally
Regenerate’s flagship event is an evening of refreshment and renewal by God’s Word and Spirit. The annual Rally is a time of worship in song, hearing and heeding of God’s Word and responding to God in order that many souls may be ignited to passionately live for God in our churches and for our world. It seeks to gather the current generation of tertiary students, young workers and parents to find deep joy and satisfaction in glorifying God.
Praise
Regenerate PRAISE seeks through music & creative arts to realign hearts with heads and whole persons with God to restore the soul. Praise Night consists of congregational singing, musical items, testimonies, bible readings and more. It aims to encourage believers to engage in a deeper praise and worship of God. Our prayer is that God would use this arm to transform lives through a reinvigorated desire and affection for Him.
Marriage
Regenerate MARRIAGE believes that one of the greatest gifts you can give your children, your church, your bible study group, your youth group and your community is a strong and healthy marriage. It aims to bring couples together to learn about marriage biblically and provide a time for them to examine and enrich their relationships and build healthy marriages that will ultimately renew families and transform the culture of our society.
